About EEC’s e-learning platform

The eligibility criteria for SMEs to access EEC E-Learning programme is based on the following two indicators:
1. The EEC E-Learning content is open for anyone engaged in the Renewable Energy (RE) sector.
2. The E-Learning mentorship offering is only open for SMEs operating in an EEC target country (Bangladesh, Benin, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cambodia, DRC, Ethiopia, Guinea, Kenya, Laos, Liberia, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mozambique, Nepal, Niger, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda);
The EEC’s e-learning platform will offer the best skills, services and expertise in business development services to support your company’s professionalisation and pave the way for your business to tackle issues pertaining to growth, diversification, new product development, scaling up, investment readiness and other related issues crucial to the growth and success of your business. Our online courses and e-mentor support is designed to cater to the needs of companies at different stages of growth (from start-up to mature), with a particular focus on supporting women and women-owned businesses in this sector.

How to use the EEC e-learning platform?

Once your business is selected for EEC support, you will receive an email with more details on how to access the e-learning courses.
The primary user for your business will be able to provide your colleague access to e-learning courses. The primary user must log in to the e-learning platform, click on the dashboard and add your colleague as a user. Once your colleague is added as a user, he/she will receive an email with details on how to access the e-learning courses.
For each course, learners have the opportunity to select a mentor. To choose the mentor within the course, click on “Mentor Support”. You can review the available mentors and select the mentor that you would like to engage with. Please note that once a mentor is chosen, you will only be able to interact with the selected mentor.
You can interact with your mentor through chat or a video call on the platform. Once the mentor is selected, you can book an appointment with the mentor on the platform. You can also interact with the mentor through chat if the mentor is online (indicated by the green icon in the chat box).

No, EEC would not be able to support your business as the EEC support has been customized to the needs of SMEs working in renewable energy technologies in Africa and Asia.
EEC will launch country specific call for applications to on-board new enterprises operating in countries supported by our partner programmes; Africa Biogas Component (ABC) and the Higher Tier Cooking Component (HTCC), and Energising Development (EnDev) Partnership. At this point our focus in on ten target countries (see here ). But there may be a possibility in due course that our scope will be further broadened. Information regarding past, current and upcoming call for applications will be published on the EEC website under the tab "Call for Applications ”.
